I have to say that since this is the first BSS inspection for which I have ever had to prepare a boat, I had no idea quite what to expect and the extent to which the inspection would be carried out. Certain things in the notes suggested that it could be very detailed, other things suggested that it would be more cursory. In the end it turned out that the inspection was somewhere in between. So, as it happened I had over-prepared Naiad for the day but that was only to the good I suppose.
I am pleased to say that Naiad passed every part of the inspection that applied to her and now has a Boat Safety Scheme Certificate of her very own.
What a relief!
