Well, it seems that although resorcinol like pressure, you have to be careful. I wasn't and the tight cramps warped the wood. Resorcinol does not fill gaps so when I took the cramps off I could see the gaps. So, I removed the screws and pulled the Oak strips off the cabin upstands.

What a waste!

I stopped at that point.
