Naiad has her BSSC Inspection today. Tony Pope of Boat Safe Surveys Ltd carried out the inspection again as he did four years ago and again, Naiad passed and now has her certificate for the next four years.

March is always an expensive month for Naiad, her insurance, Environment Agency registration and DCC mooring fees are all due in the same month. And every fourth year the BSSC is also due. Still, it is only once a year for most of it. I'd like to say that I am able to save up the money during the course of the year but there's always something that prevents that from happening. Unexpected outlays are by definition, unexpected.

Time for a cup of tea.
