The second coat of the boot tops done without taping. I ran out of tape yesterday so bought some more but when I went to use one of the new reels this morning I found that despite it being Harris brand, usually a fairly good quality brand, it was, in fact, rubbish. You could not get more than a few inches of tape off the reel before it tore. I tried for two or three metres, just in case it was just the first few layers but to no avail.

So the resulting boot top is not a straight as it could have been but it's not too bad.
